Choosing an industry template
What a template writes into your workspace, and which one to start from.
A template is a complete working configuration. Picking one writes, in a single step: your business profile and its labels, your category groups, the fields you store about your own records, the questions the bot asks, your matching dimensions and their weights, your qualification rules, and a handful of sample records so the screens are not empty.
None of it is locked. A template is a starting position, not a mode you are in afterwards.

Picking one
Match the shape of your business, not its name. The product does one thing: a customer arrives with a need, the bot collects the details, and the platform scores your own records against that need. If that describes you, the closest template by shape is the right one even when the industry label is wrong — a photography agency starts well from Creative Talent, and a driving school from Tutoring.
"Start from scratch" gives you an empty configuration and a longer setup. Choose it when nothing above is close, not to avoid deleting a few sample fields.
Sample records
Templates come with sample records, flagged as samples. They exist so matching, the record list and the playground have something to work on from minute one.
They are not counted against your plan's record limit, and they are what keeps a template switch available: switching is offered only while you have not added anything of your own, so the samples do not block it. Delete them whenever they stop being useful — the dashboard checklist counts only your own records, so it will not tick until you have added real ones.
