Setup history, and undoing a change

Where every AI change to your setup is listed, how to undo a whole set, what stops an undo, and why very old changes cannot be undone.

Whenever an AI changes your setup, you decide first and the change is recorded afterwards. The record is Admin → Setup history in the sidebar. Open it to answer "what did the AI change, why, and can I put it back?". Owners and admins can see it; an agent sees a note that an owner or admin can.

What is listed

Each entry is one set of changes, newest first, with when it happened and who kept it. It is headed by where it came from. There are three sources:

HeadingWhere it came from
Fitted to your websiteThe list you kept or declined after signup, and the facts the AI read from your pages that you kept (How AI fits your template)
You asked: "…"A request you typed into Ask AI, in your own words (Asking AI to change your setup)
Drafted from your descriptionThe draft AI made from your description, files and website, applied when you pressed Go to your rules (Setting up with AI). It is one set, so one Undo these changes takes all of it back

Under each heading is every change in the set in one line, with the words that backed it underneath: "From yourbusiness.com: …" for your website, "From your request: …" for Ask AI, or "From what you gave us: …" for a draft. A badge shows the state of the set: Kept, Undone, or Not kept (you chose Use the template as it is or Undo all). A change you took out of a set before pressing Keep is crossed out with a Not kept badge, an undone one with Undone, and a change that takes something away carries a Removal badge.

A set that is still waiting for your Keep is not listed here. It is on the screen or the to-do card that proposed it. The page shows the 50 most recent sets. Keeping or undoing a set also adds a line to the Activity log, saying how many changes it had and where they came from.

The list shows what changed, never the old and new values themselves.

Undoing a set

Press Undo these changes on a kept set, then confirm. Your setup goes back to how it was before you pressed Keep, for every change in the set at once.

When an undo is stopped

An undo never overwrites your own work. If you have edited one of the changed items by hand since, the undo is stopped, and nothing at all is undone. The set says Nothing was undone and names each item: "You've changed 'Add Ladakh to your regions' since, so revert that by hand first." Put those items right on their pages, then press Undo these changes again.

Some lines say instead that an item "is still in use by something else". That is not something you changed: it cannot be removed while an item you did change (a rule you decided, a price you confirmed) still points at it, so it waits for that. Put the lines that say "You've changed" right, and the rest follow. This matters most for a draft: once you have decided its rules and confirmed its prices, those are yours, so undo the draft before you do, if you are going to.

Too old to undo

The earlier values are kept for 90 days and then deleted. After that the set still shows what changed, but its button reads Too old to undo and is switched off, with a note that the set is more than 90 days old. Change those items by hand instead.

What an undo does not do

  • It does not undo changes you made yourself; those are in the Activity log.
  • It does not undo a different set. Each set is undone on its own.
  • It cannot undo a set that has already been undone.
