Inviting your team, and what each role can do
Sending invitations, choosing a role, and the rules about who can manage whom.
Invite people from Configuration → Team. You choose their role as you invite them, and they get an email with a link that creates their account inside your workspace.
Choosing a role
Roles are a ladder, not a set of boxes to tick. An owner can do everything an admin can, and an admin everything an agent can.
| Role | Typical use |
|---|---|
| Owner | The person who signed up. Billing, and disconnecting a channel |
| Admin | Anyone who should be able to change how the bot behaves |
| Agent | Anyone who works the pipeline but should not reconfigure it |
The full breakdown of what each one may do is in Roles: owner, admin, agent.
You cannot invite an owner. That seat is created by signup and there is one of it.
What happens to the invitation
- It expires after seven days. After that the link stops working and you send a new one; an expired invitation also stops blocking a fresh invitation to the same address.
- You can revoke it any time before it is accepted.
- A pending invitation holds a seat against your plan's team limit. That is on purpose: otherwise you could send ten invitations on a three-seat plan and only discover the limit as the fourth person tried to accept, which is a much worse moment to find out. Revoking an invitation frees its seat immediately.
- Accepting verifies the address. The invitation arrived by email and was clicked from it, so the new member is not asked to verify separately.
Who can manage whom
Managing a member — changing their role, deactivating them — needs strictly more rank than they have. An admin can manage agents. An admin cannot manage another admin, and cannot manage the owner.
That also means nobody can manage the owner, including the owner. It follows from ownership transfer not existing yet rather than being a separate rule.
Removing someone
Deactivate them from the team page. Their work stays: the conversations they handled, the notes they wrote, and the matches they reviewed all belong to the workspace, not to the account. Deactivating frees their seat straight away — team seats are counted live, not accumulated, so the slot is available for the next invitation immediately (Plans, limits and meters).
